D world preserved states of dese caves paintings wen dey wer 1st discovered was due mainly to d fact dat,most of d caves are lime stones n had been sealed up for 1000,s of yrs.After xposure to d atmosphere d paintings began to deteriorate(worse)so rapidly dat,some caves hav bin closed to d public.D paintings are primarily located deep within d caves in interiors dat are difficult to reach n unihabitable(it can no longer accomodates).Dey seems to hav serves us sancturies where fertility,initiation n hunting rituals wer perform n sensonal changes recorded d pure dominant of animals representation is in part a reflection of d importance of hunting.But d animals most often dipicted dnt concide wit dose dat wer mostly hunted,suggesting dat dese images has other meaning as wel. *
